Dan has named his firm Maryville Crest LLC as a subtle tribute to his grandfathers, both lifelong entrepreneurs. Dan’s maternal grandfather Stanley Albert opened his own pharmacy in Louisville, Kentucky and ran it for over 30 years. The name of his pharmacy was Albert’s Maryville Drugs. After serving in the then-named U.S. Army Air Forces, Dan’s paternal grandfather Irwin Schweber went into the embroidery business in Union City, New Jersey. He opened a factory that specialized in the manufacture of crests and insignias for various branches of the United States Armed Forces. Mr. Schweber hopes that Maryville Crest LLC will honor their entrepreneurial legacies.
